KX-TDA600 - When Large is not Large Enough.

The KX-TDA600 is the largest model in Panasonic's LINE of PBXs known as the "TDA" series. Most of the universal cards and option cards are interchangeable between this and the 2 smaller models - the KX-TDA200 and the KX-TA100. The features within all models in the series are identical with only the capacities being different.

The KX-TDA600 is the only one of the TDA Series models that allow for expansion shelves and it can handle either 1, 2 or 3 of them, making the KX-TDA600 an extremely versatile PBX.

This system is best suited for large organizations approaching 1000 extensions or medium-size organizations that are simply unsure of their growth potential.

See Maximum System Capacity chart below for more detail.

The KX-TDA600 Main Unit Physical Shelf has a total of 10 Free Universal Slots. Universal, meaning any slot can accommodate any type of trunk, extension or option card (with limitations). The density of each card varies by type. For instance ... Co Trunk Cards are available in 16 or 24 trunks per card. ISDN-PRI and T1 cards are available in 23 channels (trunks) per card and 24 channels (trunks) per card respectively. Extensions are available in 8/16 per card or 16/32 using the DXPD feature. Each time you populate a slot with a physical card, you are affecting the ratio of Trunks -to- Extensions. Example: A configuration using all 192 Trunks from the Main Shelf Physical Slots means that there is no room for physical extensions or special option cards such as Door Controllers, UCD/DISA, etc. Likewise, a configuration using all physical slots for extensions means that there is no room for Trunks or special option cards such as Door Controllers, UCD/DISA, etc.

Totals are somewhat dynamic. Even though the maximum number of trunks is 640 and the maximum number of extensions is 640 DPT or 1120 SLT, you cannot realize both at the same time since you would run out of slots.

Locate and contact a Panasonic Certified Dealer to help you balance these maximums now and for future growth.
